How to use AdSense and another ad network on the same site

You do not have to choose between AdSense and another network. See how to split the spaces, compare what each earns and stop depending on one company.

AdSense is often the first ad network of anyone with a website. It works, but it has three well-known problems: it can earn little in some countries and topics, approval can take long or never come, and if the account is limited or suspended, all the revenue stops at once.

The way out is not to replace AdSense with something else. It is not to depend on it alone.

Can you use two networks on one site?

Yes. It is common practice: each network takes its own spaces on the page. What you should not do is put both in the same space at the same time. Split the spaces and each network keeps its own.

Three ways to split

1. By position. Leave AdSense where it is and put adPluga in other spaces, for example in the sidebar or at the end of articles. It is the simplest and does not touch what already earns.

2. By section. Use one network in one part of the site and the other elsewhere, for example AdSense on the home page and adPluga on articles. Useful when sections have different audiences.

3. By period. For a few weeks, have the same space show one network and then the other. Compare what each earned in that space. It is the fairest comparison, because the space and the audience are the same.
